Topics for discussion
I would like to see more photoshop information in an introductory computer class, as well as how to create web pages. I also would be interested in learning how to use the computer as a tool for monthly income.
Information technology as a career
I personally would not consider a career in information technology, because it bores me. I also am not that great with computers and would probably be the worst person for the job(LOL). I do see others with their computers and at times and i am envious of their progress where the computer is concerened. I do plan on taking as many computer classes as possible so that I may become more computer literate. I no longer wish to feel like I am being left behind.
Computer security, or maybe not
I know that certain sites like banks and online stores promise that your credit card information is safe, but at times i am not so sure. If a man created the codes and programs designed for internet protection then I feel that a different man could also decipher those same codes. is computer security really safe or are we brainwashed in to believing whatever is suggested to us.
My biggest concern comes from an incident that I had with my bank some time ago. One day my account had a balance and 2 days later for no apparent reason my bank had a zero balance. When the situation was first researched the problem could not be found, but upon closer examination it was discovered that a bank employee had set up a dummy account that slowly withdrew money from individuals accounts. The bank employee had masked the account to the point of almost being undetected for 3yrs. Then suddenly the program that the employee had been using crashed and the money that had been withdrawn in small amounts over 3yrs. came out in hug sums in a matter of hours. Many customers had adverse effects from this employees actions. Needless to say my money was returned. This personal experience makes me nervous about how secure computer security really is.

The future is mine
When I think of the future of computers I think of automobiles being totally and completely run by the computers. I think of being able to water my lawn with a computer generated water sprinkler. I also imagine a property generated climate system. I imagine a world that crimminals can be reprogrammed with a computer chip installed into their brains. The future of medicine would be astounding, surgeries operated by computer generated surgens. Public transportation systems run entirely by computers. I could go on all night with other ideas, but over all the idea of the world becoming more technologically savvy is still somewhat scarry and yet exciting to me. I believe that the future is mine and I am ready for whatever technology brings my way.
YouTube and Me
Ok so seriously Terry Crew's has to be the best spokespersson ever to do the Old Spice odor blocker commercials. I probably laughed for 30 minutes after watching the set of commercials that he starred in. I enjoyed the commercials not only because of the humor but because of the imense use of computer graphics and other computer inhancements. I hope that the humor in theses video's finds you as it did myself1 Enjoy!!!!!!!
My world without computers
I am not sure that I could imagine a world without computers. But when I stop to think of that concept I think about traffic lights that do not work( a crap load of accidents). Subway systems frozen underground. Hospital data done by hand(room for inaccuracy). Items sent by mail lost in transition. And Criminals free to roam undetected from state to state.
I would probably miss my internet the most if it really came down to it. I would not have a way of conversing with family and friends around the world. I could not send or receive information as quickly as the click of a button. I would not be able to just type up a paper, it would have to be done by hand(OMG what a pain). I would also miss being able to access information at the drop of a hat. Life would certainly be a little bit more difficult. I still can't believe how much the computer has allowed for technology to change in just the last 10yrs. I look forward to the amazing changes that will transpire in the following yrs. to come.

Computers and Negativety
I have pondered this question over and over in my head and came up with several answers to this question. The first negative thing that I can think of about computers is the increasing non- interaction between humans. The next negative thing would be the blurred lines between reality and fantasy, and the third negstive thing would be the easy access for criminals, perverts, and scam artist to gain access to their unsuspecting prey.
The reasons why I believe that the computer is creating an enviornment for less interaction is because of such sites as facebook, my space, and twitter, just to name a few. These sites propogate less interaction physically and more interaction on line. Without leaving ones home, one could check their emails, find out the latest on a friend, make plans and never see anyone face to face. Humans need other humans to survive, without each other we would simply cease to perform basic task, neglect manners and function less and less socially.

Computer software and the work place
I have been using the avenues software for the Psychiatric and medical records department on the job, on one of my previous jobs I was exposed to the sems smart find express software as well as the software used in the banking industry. in my current job every single aspect of the job is handled through the internet websites and direct deposits, almost nothing is prepared through paperwork, which happens to be absolutely fabulous!!!! How much more simplified the work force has become due to computers continues to astound me daily!
Inem's CGS Blog
The software that interest me the most would have to be Powerpoint, Photoshop, and Excel spreadsheets. I am interested in learning more about powerpoint to further some of my business ideas and ventures. Photoshop would be something to learn to go along with my photograpphy hobby. I would also like to learn more about the Excel spreadsheet to manage accounts and my finances.

Inem's CGS Blog
I would really like to learn more about power point and photoshop, primarily because I would like to use both programs to jump start a few business ideas. I have tried to self teach myself how to use these programs but to no avail. I am very excited about this new learning experience and look forward to new and better computer information in the near future.

My first computer experience
The very first time that I actually encountered a computer was in the 5 th grade. My class went to a computer housing plant to see where and how computers were made. I found it very amazing because the computers actually filled an entire room. they also needed large industrial fans to cool the computers down, because of all the wiring and large parts used to run the computer. I am presently amazed at how far technology has come. We have gone from a huge room to house the computer to mini-laptops and the web via cell phones. how crazy is that!
